For many years, Ohio State Taekwondo Association has served as the State Association for USA Taekwondo, the national governing body of Olympic taekwondo. Covid hit everyone hard and affected our ability to continue to properly serve the Ohio taekwondo community. We have only sporadically been able to host state championships and have had limited resources to support Ohio athletes attending regional, national, or international competitions.

Earlier this year, Grandmaster CK Lee of Columbus approached the organization about efforts to revitalize. After careful considerations, looking at the OSTA standing with the state and federal government, it was determined the best course of action would be to terminate OSTA and instead create a new organization. This new organization would be a fresh start without any issues or historical incidents associated with the OSTA.

On November 24th, 2024, the OSTA Board of Directors met and voted to begin the official process of terminating the organization. Once legal certification is completed, the Board will transfer all assets – including this domain – to the new organization. Coming soon, look for the all-new Ohio Taekwondo Association.
